OverviewConceptual Climbing Apparel Photography Driven by Light and Form
Created as a conceptual climbing apparel project for Mountain Hardwear, this shoot took place at Smith Rock State Park in Oregon, timed precisely around seasonal light and shadow that occur only at specific moments of the year and day. The work explored how directional light interacts with movement, rock texture, and athletic form, using climbing as a structure to study contrast and negative space. I blended digital photography, film capture, and graphic design elements, integrating the mediums in post-production to create a layered visual language. The result is a multimedia body of work that treats apparel as part of the environment, using light, shadow, and motion to push climbing imagery beyond documentation and into expression.
