Shot for Backcountry’s climbing gear guide, this desert climbing campaign highlighted three core disciplines; sport, trad, and bouldering, through a gear forward lens. The shoot emphasized technical movement, physical effort, and clarity of equipment in use, balancing e-commerce needs with a sense of scale and consequence. The challenge was to prioritize epic athleticism without sacrificing product readability. We used environment, light, and angle to keep the gear grounded in real climbing scenarios. The result is a body of imagery that supports e commerce placement while still honoring the intensity and precision of climbing in recognizable spaces.
